At Blue Moon kennels we strive to produce outstanding hunting dogs, great family pets, and dogs that carry on the conformation of the breed. When we place these dogs preference is gven to homes where the pup will live with the family, be hunted, and be Natural Ability tested with NAVHDA. Our dogs are approved for breeding by the Small Munsterlander Club of North America. To get that approval a dog must, at a minumn, pass the NAVHDA Natural Ability test, demonstrate that they are not gunshy, have correct conformation, and have had their hips tested by OFA or PennHIP. 

     We set our own standards even higher. We continue training and testing year round.  We hunt our dogs on a variety of wild birds as well as pen raised birds during off season. Our dogs must not only demonstrate the temperment you need for a house pet, but must be able to remain calm in a classroom setting, or in a crowded store as my dogs travel a lot with me.

     Each breeding we do is intended to improve the breed. The "A" litter recieved a breeders award. Out of 9 dogs 7 tested  in Natural Ability and all 7 passed. The "B" litter was a repeat breeding and produed 10 pups,who will test this year. Our "C" litter has not tested yet but are outstandg dogs and I look forward to great test scores from the pups and awesome hunting tails from their owners.

Kate is now seperated from the rest of the dogs. I will be takeing her to Tom Sowder and Max about the 26th. Although nature will set the final timetable, look for pups at the end of October and Pups ready to travel between Christmas and the New Year.

Blue Moon's D litter wil be another repeat breeding of Rhode's End Ally and Gunwood's Chance v Kain. This breeding produced a NAVHDA and SMCNA Breeders award for the A litter. The dogs of this breeding have turned out to be extremely bidable, eager to please, hard hunting and great companions.
